Maritel Centurion is a dynamic dancer/teacher with a rich professional experience in Classical dance, 

Flamenco, Bolero School and Argentinean Tango.  Maritel holds a Teaching Diploma from the National Ballet School of Canada and teaches at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.

*Maritel is the feature flamenco dancer in the show 'Dark Fire: An Exploration of the Roots of

Flamenco' on July 21, 2007 at the Wolf Performance Hall.

Maritel will be teaching the workshops on beginner castanets, Classical Spanish Dance/Flamenco with

choreography. Castanets are optional in the 2nd half of the dance workshop.

10:00 - 11:30 AM  An introduction to castanets.  Beginner level dancers welcomed.

Cost: $35.00  (if dancers bring own castanets)

          $70.00  (to order castanets with workshop/castanets cost $35)

11:30 - 12:30 PM Lunch

12:30 - 2:30    PM   Danza Espanola/ Flamenco Workshop with Choreography

                                 Please wear Flamenco shoes or comfortable dance shoes.

Cost: $40.00

Both Workshops  $  70.00 (no castanets)           $105.00 (including castanets)
